The Answer Might Surprize You.

Of all the problems faced by humanity, the greatest is when one is separated from Christ, being without God in the world— spiritual death.

Ephesians 2:11–22
Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh - who are called “uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands - that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of Godʼs household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

We Need God

We must never allow ourselves to be in a place where God does not hear us!

Isaiah 59:1–2
Look, the Lordʼs hand is not too weak to deliver you; his ear is not too deaf to hear you. But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers.

Looking At Light And Darkness

Jesus taught of this separation between God and us. He used light and darkness to punctuate the separation. Jesus came to provide a way to prevent the world from dwelling in the dark realm of Satan.

John 12:46
I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

The Answer Is The Light

Jesus provided a way to eliminate the problem of separation from God through His shed blood. Exclude separation from God by walking in the light.

1 John 1:5–9
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
